Julien Bonafous graduated from Vatel Paris in 1999. Barely ten years after the end of his studies and a career crowned with success, he has been appointed the Hilton Group International Sales Executive for the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and has moved to Dubai with his wife and two children.
Julien Bonafous’s new post is to spearhead international marketing strategy from the Arabic peninsula to all Hilton group hotels throughout the world. His main responsibilities consist of managing and developing the regional accounts portfolio for Hilton, as well as pricing policy and positioning strategies with the group’s partners. His role is extremely important, as he is in charge of enhancing Hilton brands at an international
“The hotel industry in the region is taking off,” Bonafous says, “and is generating enormous global interest. With a major product range, development strategies for new destinations and promotion programs with great added value, 2008 looks to be a promising year for us, and we envisage an 25% rise in trips outside the region. I have hastened to take up my new functions with all the new hotels and the new destinations of the world portfolio that we will be promoting.”
Julien Bonafous began his career with Hilton in France in 1999. It was in his last post as Paris Sales Manager in charge of Middle Eastern and Indian markets that he developed his extensive knowledge of this region of the globe and learned to create and maintain lasting relations with the major customers. A graduate of Vatel in Paris, Julien Bonafous is perfectly bilingual in French and English, and has a command of Spanish.
