A Vatel 2011 alumnus, for the past year Rafael Solorzano has been the F&B Manager of the Managua Palms Casino in Nicaragua, Central America.
Why did you decide to go to Vatel?
Because Vatel gives you intellectual and human skills and knowledge to succeed in your professional life and get the job you’ve always dreamed of doing.
Why do you have fond memories of Vatel?
Because I learned the Art of Excellence as well as the importance of every little detail.
Why are you proud of Vatel?
Being a Vatel alumnus puts us one step ahead of the others on the job market because of the excellent reputation the School has everywhere in the world.
Why do you love your job?
Because life in a casino or a hotel never ends. Because I manage dozens of different kinds of jobs. I lead a team of 50 made up of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Master Chefs, Bar Managers, Waiters, etc.
Why did you decide to work in Central America?
Because business is booming! There are loads of opportunities for those who graduated in Hotel and Tourism management.
