Opened in 2008, the Vatel Mauritius Campus hosted our School Directors and Vatel Corporate members from April 27 through 29th for their 11th International Convention.
As in every year, this event was held in one of the 39 Campuses of the 1st Worldwide Business School Group in Hospitality and Tourism Management, winner of the Best Hospitality Management School Award by professionals in the international hospitality industry, in their 17th edition of the Worldwide Hospitality Awards.
Bringing together over 30 nationalities
Alain Sebban, President and Founder of Vatel Group and Renaud Azema, the Vatel Mauritius School Director, welcomed group members in the school’s academic facilities and extended a warm welcome to the new Campuses: Vatel Abidjan, Vatel Baku, Vatel Brazzaville, Vatel Cyprus, Vatel Georgia, Vatel Kuala Lumpur and Vatel Reunion.
Reflections on the academic curriculum, debates on educational environment and exchanges on the latest trends in the hospitality and tourism management market were some of the high points of these three days of multicultural exchanges between the men and women who have been building Vatel Group for over 35 years.
These conventions are a yearly opportunity for our School Directors to define together educational methods to increase the quality of our courses given, in an international framework.
On the last evening of the Convention, the 150 guests were invited to the Domaine de Labourdonnais by Vatel Mauritius students, who organized this event and made sure that it took place seamlessly.
A tremendous opportunity as well as a great honor in showing their know-how and people-oriented skills to Mrs. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, the President of Mauritius and Mr. Gilles Huberson, the French Ambassador in Mauritius.
And the students all met this challenge, as each and every participant warmly congratulated them for their involvement and the quality of their hospitality throughout the entire Convention.
In 2018, students from Vatel Tunis will have the same mission, as they will receive participants for the 12th International Vatel Convention, on their Campus.
